Synsera Homes Limited, was established in 2016 (previously known as Watermark Homes).
We are a young, dynamic property company with an uncompromising focus – we create high-quality homes which are functional and practical in design, yet affordable to rent or buy, and which feel like sanctuaries of welcome and safety. We believe that everyone deserves a home like this.
We have a common aim for all our developments – to exceed all initial expectations. Our ambition is for the name ‘Synsera’ to be synonymous with quality and design excellence.
We focus on residential development opportunities across London and south-east England, with an emphasis on commuter towns in Kent, Surrey and Sussex within an hour's travel time from central London.
We partner with established, award-winning property professionals- sourcers, planning consultants, architects, project managers, and contractors - who share our values.
John Friis, the co-founder of Synsera Homes, is both a developer and property investor.
Alongside his career in property, John also works as an NHS consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
His hands-on approach is informed by the skills he has acquired working in high-pressure, high-stakes environments over many years. He believes in a transparent, honest, collaborative approach to working with his partners and investors.
John is a member of Qandor Property Club and a former mentor on the Take AIM mentorship programme for property developers run by the Ocea Group in Southampton.
John is a passionate champion of small businesses, of entrepreneurship, and of empowering people to embrace life's possibilities.

Corporate Morale Officer
Charlie is a cockapoo. Considered quite cute and keen for attention wherever he goes, he is utterly insufferable. Despite being completely unqualified, he was appointed to his current role due to wholehearted and unrelenting nepotism.
His skill set includes eating things he shouldn’t, refusing to walk nicely by his owner’s side, and attempting to sneak up on unsuspecting squirrels and birds and failing each and every time.
Charlie is fully aware that his position is temporary and subject to annual review. His dad cannot wait to replace him with a cat. All suitable applicants will be considered.
